June is an excellent month for a half marathon race.
While the temperatures are usually too high for a marathon at this time of year, it is still possible to run a half marathon in June, even at slightly higher temperatures, without taking any major health risks.
It is therefore not surprising that the number of half-marathon races in June is many times higher than the number of marathon races.
USA Half Marathons
In the U.S., the San Diego Marathon, Grandma's Marathon Duluth and Missoula Marathon are held in June. All events also have a half marathon in the program.

Our personal recommendation is the Aletsch Half Marathon in Switzerland. Okay, best times are definitely not possible there, unless it is the half marathon premiere. Because the half marathon leads over 1,148 meters of altitude, among other things, on the almost 3,000 meters high Bettmerhorn. But there is hardly a half marathon that is as impressively beautiful as the Aletsch Half Marathon. For the victory there is even a prize money of 1,500 Swiss francs as a reward. The 2,500 starting places are usually completely booked up.
