There are exciting running events in Croatia, especially on the country's coast, but running can also be done in Zagreb.
The biggest running events in Croatia
The most famous running event is held in the capital of Croatia. The Zagreb Marathon is held every year on the second Sunday in October. Here you can run a marathon or even a half marathon. More than 3,000 runners take part in the event.
For a marathon directly at the sea, on the other hand, a trip to the "Rijecki maraton" in Rijeka is worthwhile in spring. Well-known half marathons are the Hvar Half Marathon in Stari Grad and the Dubrovnik Half Marathon.
Also a nice experience is the Adriatic Advent Marathon in December, where you can even complete a marathon in the middle of the Christmas season. You can experience a short adventure at the Road Race Medulin Riviera. The 10-kilometer race leads along the Croatian coast of Istria and the Mediterranean Sea.
