The Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series events returned to Savannah over the weekend, celebrating the history, culture and running community in Georgia’s eldest city.
This weekend over 16,000 registered participants took on the 10th edition of the Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Savannah, a musically-themed running event. For the Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Savannah Half Marathon, Sean Daugherty (Boulder, Colo.) and Amanda Scott (Boulder, Colo.) were crowned winners with a finishing time of 1:09:40 and 1:20:01 respectfully.
Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Savannah participants received a running tour of historic Savannah that included Victorian homes in the Historic District, Spanish moss and plenty of Southern charm before a finish at the iconic Forsyth Park. Despite the rainy conditions, Savannah is known for having the most beautiful course in the Rock ‘n’ Roll circuit.
