Der Marseille Marathon wurde als einer der schönsten Städte-Marathons der Welt ausgezeichnet!
Der Marathon de Marseille ist ein Mix aus Städte- und Küstenmarathon.
Erstmals wurde der Marathon 1984 ausgetragen. Seit 2009 wird er jährlich durchgeführt.
Der für 12. April 2020 geplante Marathon wurde aufgrund des Coronavirus auf 22. November 2020 verschoben.
