Swim course
Athletes will start their race with a jump from a pontoon platform on the water into the Ishim River to tackle the 3,8 km (2.4 mile) swim course. With an average temperature of 18 to 22 degrees Celsius (64,5 to 72 Fahrenheit) and slow flow rate, participants can expect fast swim times.
 
Bike course
The flat and fast 180,2 km (112 mile) bike course on recently re-surfaced asphalt roads is perfect for athletes of all abilities as they get to enjoy views of the breathtaking architectural marvels on the riverbank, before they make their way out into the Steppe landscape surrounding the city.
 
Marathon course
Athletes then transition onto the 42,2 km (26,2 mile) run course that leads through several parks in the heart of the city. Finally, they will finish their race at the Triathlon Park of Astana, an area built for and loved by cyclists and triathletes alike.
